TIPS FOR COACHING AND COMMUNICATIONS!

So what's new or different when registering for leagues?

Club Sport Kids offers an easy to use online process to message your team, track your roster, and see your team's specific weekly game schedule. Simply log onto your Family Account to see your family's dashboard. "View Team Details" for your child's team. From here you can message your entire team - with emails automatically sent to one or both parents! Reminder there is a 1000 character limit.

Coaches can also see all their team's emails and phone numbers. Just click on your team name, and then team roster. You'll find "print roster" in the upper right hand corner to see this info. Or you can export this info to a file.

Your team can RSVP to each game, which is handy to know which players will be there. These RSVP's are automatically emailed to you. If you do NOT wish to get these emails, simply click on the "edit profile" under your team details and you can opt out. Teams can always log on to see the RSVP results week to week.

It's good practice to send a "Welcome Message" to your team through the team page. Below are example messages you can customize pertaining to either SOCCER or FOOTBALL!

Example SOCCER welcome message:

I hope everyone is ready for a great season of soccer!  My name is ___________ and I'll be coaching the team this season.  Our first game is at _____, so I'll plan on having a quick practice at _____ near our scheduled field before the game.  If you have one, please bring a soccer ball, along with cleats & shin guards.  Also, I am looking for a volunteer to serve as an assistant to help during the season so please let me know if you are interested. Every child should bring their own water bottle and snack as we will not be sharing or providing one for the team.

I hope your kids are excited about getting started, so please feel free to email or call me if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Coach _______, Ph #_____________

P.S. - I will have all the jerseys the first game. You may want to bring chairs or blankets to sit comfortably on the side lines (making sure to keep a 6 foot distance from other families), and bug spray/sun block, but definitely bring lots of encouragement for the kids!

Example FOOTBALL welcome message:

I hope everyone is ready for a great season of flag football!  My name is ___________ and I'll be coaching the team this season.  I'll bring the uniforms & flags the first game. Our first game is at _____, so I'll plan on having a quick practice at _____ near our scheduled field before the game.  Remember mouthguards are required for ages 6+.  Also, I am looking for a volunteer to serve as an assistant to help during the season so please let me know if you are interested. Every child should bring their own water bottle and snack as we will not be sharing or providing one for the team.
